3rd Friedrich World Championship 2008

Initially, 14 players have registered for the 3rd Friedrich-World-Championship. Due to very bad emergencies, however, 5 players had to cancel their participation in the last minute, and so it came that only 9 players competed for the Friedrich-crown.
Since the tournament format needs players as a multiple of 4, the Friedrich-designer Richard Sivél and spontaneous helpers filled the gaps. They were playing out of competitio, though. bereitwillige Helfer die Lücken auf. Sie spielten aber außer Konkurrenz. (Histogame says a big Thank-you to all these helpers!)
The players for each individual game were found by drawing lots.
